Novi Sad Mayor meets with Search and Rescue Organization OTIS

Novi Sad Mayor Žarko Mićin met with representatives of the Organization for Search and Rescue of Serbia (OTIS), led by Board Chairman Dragan Bjelić, to discuss the organization's development and strengthen cooperation with the city.

During the meeting, Mićin praised the organization's dedication, noting that OTIS members completed their longest deployment to date during the 2026 fire season, spending 30 days in the field at locations including Stolovi, Ušće, and Maglič. The mayor highlighted the professionalism of the members, which he observed during the FRUSAR 2026 joint exercise on Fruška Gora.

Based in Novi Sad, OTIS currently consists of more than 150 members. The organization provides rescue and medical services, national disaster response, and international assistance.
