Novo Hamburgo increases food allowance for municipal employees

Mayor Gustavo Finck has officially confirmed an increase in the food allowance for municipal employees in Novo Hamburgo. The new benefit amount is set at R$ 880, aiming to equalize compensation across various municipal sectors.

The adjustment specifically impacts over 2,500 employees of the Municipal Public Health Foundation (FSNH) and approximately 700 workers at the Municipal Urbanism Company (Comur). This change brings the benefit in line with other municipal employees and the Comusa agency. The new values are scheduled to be implemented starting in September.

According to the mayor, the increase is intended to retain qualified labor within the municipality. The new R$ 880 rate places Novo Hamburgo above the regional average for such benefits, which is approximately R$ 780.
