Novo Nordisk partners with Bodø/Glimt to promote public health

Pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk has entered into a partnership with the Norwegian football club Bodø/Glimt to promote public health and physical activity. The collaboration aims to encourage individuals to take their health seriously and lower the threshold for undergoing medical check-ups.

The initiative will initially target men between the ages of 40 and 60, a demographic that statistics show is less likely to seek healthcare services than women despite having similar needs. As part of the partnership, Bodø/Glimt will offer free health checks in collaboration with various health actors.

Bodø/Glimt leadership highlighted the club’s diverse community programs, including street football initiatives and walking football for the elderly, as a foundation for this health-focused work. Novo Nordisk Norway’s managing director, Nina Therese Hovland, noted that the partnership aligns with the company’s long-standing commitment to health prevention.
