Novo Nordisk reports up to 28% weight loss with high‑dose Wegovy in trial

Novo Nordisk presented new clinical data at the European Obesity Congress in Istanbul. A high‑dose version of its obesity medication Wegovy, administered at 7.2 mg, produced an average weight loss of about 28 percent in selected patient groups. In a separate study, the company's semaglutide formulation CagriSema achieved a 22.7 percent reduction in body weight. Both results indicate a significant efficacy advantage over lower‑dose regimens and could shape future obesity‑treatment protocols.

The findings were disclosed by the Danish pharmaceutical firm during the conference, highlighting its ongoing efforts to expand therapeutic options for severe obesity.
