Novopan and UDLA sign alliance to link academia and industry

Novopan, an Ecuadorian wood panel manufacturer, and the Universidad de las Américas (UDLA) have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the link between academia and industry. The alliance focuses on joint initiatives in training, research, innovation, and social engagement.

The partnership aims to connect academic knowledge with industrial experience to address real-world production challenges. Planned activities include pre-professional internships, continuous training programs, applied research projects, workshops, and specialized events.

Ignacio Bustamante, Executive President of Novopan, stated that the alliance reinforces a commitment to talent development, innovation, and sustainability by preparing future professionals through direct industry exposure. The agreement also allows faculty and company employees to participate in joint research and knowledge exchange projects.
