Novorizontino reaches 100 goals in 2026 season
Novorizontino has become the third Brazilian club to score over 100 goals in a single season, joining Flamengo and Palmeiras. The milestone was achieved following a 2-1 victory over Operário-PR during the 36th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie B.
The team from rural São Paulo reached 101 goals in 59 matches, a more efficient rate than Palmeiras, who required 64 matches to reach 106 goals, and Flamengo, who reached 116 goals in 60 matches. The offensive production is heavily driven by the duo of Robson and Rômulo, who have been directly involved in 43 goals.
Currently leading the Serie B standings, Novorizontino is positioned as a strong candidate for promotion to Serie A. The club's 101 goals mark also sets a new single-season record for the team, surpassing their previous high of 81 goals set in 2023.
