Novotel teams collect trash along the Rhine for Ocean’s Days
As part of the ‘Ocean’s Days’ initiative, employees from Novotel hotels in Aachen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Cologne participated in a cleanup event along the Rhine river. The teams worked to collect trash to help prevent water pollution and clean the riverbanks.
The action was supported by K. R. A. K. E. e. V., a non-profit environmental association based in Cologne. The association utilizes a project called ‘RheinKrake,’ a floating trash trap located near the Zoo Bridge in Cologne, which captures waste before it flows further downstream. This project also functions as a research endeavor to collect data on the types and volumes of waste transported through the river.
