Novri Antoni apprehended in Banyuasin after prison escape

Authorities in South Sumatra have apprehended Novri Antoni, a 38-year-old narcotics convict who escaped from custody. Antoni, who had been sentenced to nine years in prison, was located in Mariana Village, Banyuasin Regency, following a month-long investigation by the OKU Police Resmob team in coordination with Banyuasin Police.

Antoni was one of three detainees who fled after a trial at the Baturaja District Court. Following his arrest on Tuesday night, he was handed over to the Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) District Attorney's Office. Police are still searching for another escaped detainee.
