Now That We Draw anime set for January 2027 release

The anime adaptation of the manga ‘Now That We Draw’ (Kakunaru Ue wa) is scheduled to premiere in January 2027 during the winter anime season. A new promotional trailer and additional staff details have been released for the series.

Based on the manga by Kyū Takahata and Yūji Kaba, the story follows Yūki Uehara, an aspiring mangaka whose romantic stories are criticized for lacking realism. He enters a fake relationship with his classmate, Niina Miyamoto, to gain the real-life experiences necessary to improve his work.

Studio ROLL2 is handling the animation, with Shunsuke Ishikawa directing. The production team includes Deko Akao for series composition and screenplay, Hiromi Nakagawa for character design, and Infinite for production. The voice cast features Ayumu Murase as Yūki Uehara and Sayumi Suzushiro as Niina Miyamoto.
