Nowa Ruda police arrest recidivist for thefts from disabled senior
Police in Nowa Ruda have arrested a 46-year-old man suspected of repeatedly targeting a 75-year-old man with a disability. The suspect is accused of two counts of particularly audacious theft against the same victim.
In the most recent incident, the suspect snatched a pouch containing 2,250 PLN from the victim while he was in a wheelchair. Investigations revealed that the same individual had also stolen 2,500 PLN from the senior in July, money intended for a new wheelchair.
Because the suspect is a recidivist, he faces a potential prison sentence of up to 12 years. The victim has been provided with psychological and social support following the attacks.
