Nowy Dwór County awarded 15.5 million zł EU and regional funds

More than 15.5 million zł will be granted to local governments and institutions in Nowy Dwór County, Mazovia, from European Union Funds for Mazovia and the Voivodeship's support programmes. The money will finance school and communal building thermal modernisation, road construction, development of social services, support for volunteer fire brigades, lighting upgrades, sports facilities and heritage conservation. Anna Brzezińska, board member of the Mazovian Voivodeship, said the allocations will improve residents’ quality of life, safety and infrastructure.

The biggest EU contributions, amounting to about 7.3 million zł, went to three municipalities: Gmina Pomiechówek (3 361 590 zł for school thermal upgrades), the town of Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki (2 967 876,82 zł for a Social Services Centre) and Gmina Zakroczym (964 935 zł for modernising four communal buildings). Regional support programmes provided over 8.3 million zł for road works (Zakroczym 2.6 million zł, Pomiechówek 1.8 million zł, Nasielsk 2.5 million zł), fire‑brigade equipment (≈430 000 zł), climate‑friendly street lighting (≈59 000 zł) and sports infrastructure (≈700 000 zł split among Leoncin, Pomiechówek and Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki).
