Nowy Sącz and Lublin host major theatrical productions

The Drama Society of the Małopolskie Centrum Kultury SOKÓŁ in Nowy Sącz will revive Aleksander Fredro’s classic comedy “Pan Jowialski.” The performance is scheduled for 31 August 2026 at 18:00 in the Lucjan Lipiński Hall. Directed by Janusz Michalik, the cast includes Mieczysław Filipczyk as Pan Jowialski, Monika Ślepiak as Pani Jowialska, and a supporting ensemble of local actors.

In Lublin, an open‑air spectacle titled “Sen o Mieście,” directed by Janusz Opryński, will run from 13 to 17 August 2024 on the courtyard of Lublin Castle. The show combines acrobatic artists, music by Rafał Rozmus, narration by Zbigniew Dziduch, and voice‑over readings by Dorota Landowska, portraying the city’s centuries‑long cultural history and its designation as European Capital of Culture 2029. Tickets cost 20 zł and are available at the cultural centre’s box office and online.
