Nowy Sącz emergency services locate man in emotional crisis

Emergency services conducted an extensive search operation in Nowy Sącz to locate a 37-year-old man experiencing an emotional crisis. The call for help was received around 8:30 PM on August 25.

The search involved multiple agencies, including police from Nowy Sącz, Kraków, and Tarnów, as well as firefighters and special rescue groups. Authorities utilized land and air resources, including drones, quads, and service dogs, to search areas along both sides of the Dunajec river.

The man was successfully located in the bushes near the riverbank around 1:30 AM. Officials confirmed that his life was not in immediate danger following his discovery. Local authorities used the occasion to remind the public of available mental health support services and crisis hotlines.
