Nox Mobility plans European night train network for 100 cities

Berlin-based startup Nox Mobility has announced plans to establish a new European night train network connecting 100 cities by 2035. The project aims to provide a competitive alternative to short- and medium-haul flights.

The first service is scheduled to launch on March 23, 2027, running between Hamburg and Munich, with intermediate stops in Bremen and Augsburg. The line will operate three times per week in both directions. The network intends to include Italian destinations, such as Rome.

A key feature of the service is the introduction of ‘Nox Suites,’ individual private spaces designed to replace traditional shared sleeper berths. These suites are intended to function as workspaces during the day and lounge-style sleeping areas at night, featuring large seats, tables, power outlets, and luggage space.

Nox Mobility presented its first completed carriage at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin and has opened ticket sales, with one-way fares starting at 65 euros.
