Nox Mobility to launch affordable European sleeper train service in 2027

Berlin-based startup Nox Mobility has announced plans to launch a new sleeper train service in Europe starting March 23, 2027. The company aims to redefine short-haul travel by offering private accommodations at competitive prices, with one-way fares starting at approximately 65 euros.

The initial route will connect Hamburg and Munich, with scheduled stops in Bremen and Augsburg. Every passenger will be assigned a ‘Nox Suite,’ which features sliding doors for privacy, large lie-flat seats, a work/dining table, and power outlets. While the 2027 rollout focuses on these suites, a planned expansion in 2029 will introduce even more spacious private rooms for one or two passengers, though bathrooms will remain shared.

Co-founder Thibault Constant stated that the service intends to combine transportation and hospitality, allowing travelers to sleep while moving between cities. The company also noted that children under four years old can travel for free when accompanied by an adult.
