Nox Mobility to launch Hamburg–Munich night train service

Berlin-based startup Nox Mobility has announced the launch of a new night train service connecting Hamburg and Munich, with ticket sales now underway. The service is scheduled to begin operations in March, running three times per week.

The route will include stops in Bremen and Augsburg. The company aims to provide a competitive alternative to low-cost airlines by offering increased privacy. Passengers will travel in specialized units called ‘Nox Suites,’ which function as wide seats during the day and convert into sleeping berths at night.

The trains will utilize refurbished Bpmz carriages originally manufactured for Deutsche Bahn. These vehicles were purchased by the Czech company Creditas Mobility, which will lease them to Nox Mobility. The project is led by co-founder and CEO Thibault Constant, alongside Janek Smalla and investor Artur Hasselbach. Tickets for the new service start at 65 euros.
