Nozomi Networks Names Co‑Founder Andrea Carcano CEO After $1 B Mitsubishi Electric Acquisition
Nozomi Networks, a specialist in security for operational technology, IoT and cyber‑physical systems, appointed co‑founder Andrea Carcano as chief executive officer. Carcano, who originally held the role when the company was founded with CTO Moreno Carullo, returns to replace Edgard Capdevielle, who led the firm for the past decade and will stay on as an executive advisor.
The leadership change follows Mitsubishi Electric’s completion of a $1 billion acquisition of Nozomi Networks after the company surpassed $100 million in annual revenue. The deal gives Nozomi access to Mitsubishi Electric’s resources and industrial reach, and the new CEO aims to accelerate technical development, including the use of artificial intelligence, across the company’s customer base that includes many of the world’s largest oil and gas firms, pharmaceutical manufacturers and utilities.
