NP Aerospace appointed prime contractor for Team LionStrike LMV bid

NP Aerospace has been appointed as the prime contractor and lead interface for Team LionStrike’s bid to the UK Ministry of Defence’s Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) programme. The consortium, known as Team LionStrike, consists of NP Aerospace, BAE Systems, and GM Defense.

In addition to its role as lead contractor, NP Aerospace has been designated as an official original equipment manufacturer (OEM) certified support provider for the GM vehicles proposed in the bid. This certification allows the company to diagnose, service, maintain, modify, and repair GM vehicles both within the UK and during deployed operations.

The arrangement is intended to provide the UK with access to GM-backed technical expertise, genuine parts, and approved work processes, aiming to maximize fleet availability and reduce reliance on overseas support. NP Aerospace already manages through-life support for a significant portion of the British Army’s armoured fleet under a 2024 contract.
