NPB managers Fujikawa and Kudo set ambitious goals for upcoming seasons

Hanshin Tigers manager Kyuji Fujikawa has issued a call to his players to ‘explode’ as the team aims for a third consecutive league title and its first Japan Series championship in four years. Following a season report to owner Hata, Fujikawa emphasized that he will not overlook players who show sudden talent, regardless of age, and noted the need for key pitchers like Murakami and Saiki to reach new heights.

The club is also looking to strengthen its roster through free agency and trades to address weaknesses. Owner Hata expressed gratitude for the team’s first consecutive league titles and indicated openness to discussing a contract extension for Fujikawa.

Meanwhile, Chunichi Dragons new manager Kimiyasu Kudo has gained significant attention after an uncut video of his passionate speech to players went viral. The video, which has amassed approximately 4.4 million views on the club’s official YouTube channel, features Kudo urging players to define their professional goals and dreams to ensure long-term success in the league.
