NPB players progress in farm league games

Several Japanese professional baseball players are making progress in the farm leagues as they prepare for first-team returns.

Yusei Togo of the Yomiuri Giants made his comeback from a left hamstring muscle strain during a farm league game against Chunichi. Togo pitched four scoreless innings, allowing only one hit while striking out four, reaching a maximum speed of 149 km/h. He expressed gratitude to his trainers and stated he is preparing to be ready whenever he is called back to the top squad.

In the Hiroshima Toyo Carp farm system, Ren Hirakawa continues to show strong form, recording hits in six of his last seven games since returning to action. Third baseman Kokozo demonstrated improved defensive play, while pitcher Kei Kono delivered a strong performance, pitching seven scoreless innings to bolster his case for a spot on the main roster next season.
