NPF Pensions pursues digital services and investment diversification

NPF Pensions Ltd. is implementing digital transformation and investment diversification strategies to enhance services for police officers and retirees. During the 2026 Customer Service Week in Abuja, Acting Managing Director Muhammed Dutse announced that the company is utilizing digital platforms, including a WhatsApp-for-Business service that currently serves nearly 100,000 officers, to provide remote access to pension services.

To protect assets against declining interest rates from traditional bank deposits, the fund administrator is exploring alternative investments. This includes potential opportunities in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals, as well as infrastructure funds, private equity, and the stock market. The strategy aims to move away from a heavy reliance on fixed-income instruments to ensure competitive returns for contributors.
