NPO 1 premieres ‘Wolven’, a new reality game show

The new BNNVARA television program ‘Wolven’ (Wolves) has premiered on NPO 1. Presented by Soundos and Pieter Derks, the show is a televised adaptation of the popular board game ‘Werewolves’.

Thirteen participants, each selected for their specific professional expertise, are sequestered in a remote forest setting designed to resemble a small village. The players are assigned secret roles: ten are ‘Citizens’ and three are ‘Wolves’. The objective for the Citizens is to identify and unmask the Wolves through observation and intuition, while the Wolves attempt to remain hidden and eliminate the Citizens one by one during nighttime sessions.

The cast features a diverse range of specialists, including a criminal defense lawyer, a digital detective, a hypnotist, a comedian, a biologist, a fact-checker, and a crime journalist. Participants aim to use their unique professional perspectives—such as body language analysis or mentalism—to navigate the game of deception and strategy.
