Nóra Görbe celebrates 70th birthday

Hungarian actress and performer Nóra Görbe is celebrating her 70th birthday. She is widely recognized for her iconic role as Linda, the martial arts-trained police officer in a highly popular 1980s television series.

The character of Linda was inspired by Görbe's first husband, György Gát, who conceived the idea for the series. The production blended crime, comedy, and martial arts, drawing stylistic influences from Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill films. Despite initial skepticism from television leadership regarding its unconventional style, the series became a significant pop culture phenomenon in Hungary.
