NRA launches 13-state bus tour for 2026 midterms

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has launched the ‘2026 NRA’s Gun Bus Battleground Tour’ to mobilize gun owners for the 2026 midterm elections. The tour, organized by the NRA Institute for Legislative Action, will make 63 stops across 13 states before concluding on Election Day, November 3.

Starting from the organization's headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia, the bus is scheduled to make its first public stop in Dillon, Montana, on September 3. The route includes Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The tour aims to facilitate direct conversations with voters at locations such as gun stores, manufacturers, and community events.

The initiative comes as Republicans seek to maintain control of Congress. The NRA intends to support candidates who advocate for Second Amendment rights, particularly in states where Senate races are considered tossups or near tossups, including Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas.
