Nürburgring prepares for centenary with Porsche edition and historical book

The Nürburgring racing circuit is approaching its centenary, marking 100 years since its foundation on September 27, 1927. To commemorate the upcoming 2027 anniversary, Porsche has announced a special 911 GT3 “100 Years Nürburgring” edition.

Limited to 100 vehicles for Germany, the special edition features design elements inspired by racing history, including protective foil on the front and rear, gold accents on wheels and emblems, and custom typography. The car will be available in white or GT Silver metallic, with green accents, and includes unique interior details such as a “Green Hell” mode switch and LED door projectors that display the track layout.

In conjunction with the anniversary, motor journalist Klaus Ridder has released a book documenting the circuit's history. Drawing on over 70 years of personal experience and thousands of photographs, the book provides a collection of stories, interviews with “Ring people,” and historical imagery covering the evolution of the legendary Eifel racetrack.
