NRK announces participants for season 18 of Mesternes mester
NRK has revealed the ten participants for the 18th season of the popular competition program ‘Mesternes mester’. The lineup features several prominent former athletes, including biathlete Tarjei Bø, former footballer Lars Bohinen, and speed skating siblings Hege and Håvard Bøkko.
Other competitors include Cathrine Larsåsen (high jump), Alexander Bonsaksen (ice hockey), Julie Thorsen (diving), Emil Meek (MMA), Hedvig Wessel (bobsleigh/freeskiing), and Nina Bansal (taekwondo). The season was filmed in Porto Heli, Greece, during the spring of 2026.
Tete Lidbom will take over as the program host, succeeding Aksel Lund Svindal. Svindal is transitioning to lead the ‘Mesternes mester team’ version of the show, as he was unable to host both formats. Season 18 is scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2027.
