NRK secures European Athletics Championship rights through 2031

NRK has secured the rights to broadcast the European Athletics Championships through 2031. The agreement follows an extension of a current deal reached between the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and European Athletics (EAA).

As one of 30 EBU members, NRK will provide coverage for various upcoming events, including the outdoor European Championships in 2028 and 2030, the indoor championships in 2029 and 2031, and the European Athletics Team Championships in 2029 and 2031. Runar Østmo, rights manager at NRK, stated that the deal ensures the broadcaster will show major international athletics leading up to the 2032 Olympics in Brisbane.
