Nürnberg hosts expanded ‘La Festa Italiana’ festival

The Italian-themed festival ‘La Festa Italiana’ has returned to the Insel Schütt in Nürnberg in an expanded XXL format. Running from August 14 to August 23, 2026, the event has been extended to ten days following the success of previous years.

The festival features a combination of live music, a gourmet market with Italian specialties, and family-oriented programming. Musician Pino Barone serves as the central host and performer. The event was officially opened by Nürnberg’s education official, Cornelia Trinkl, who noted the importance of such festivals in bringing together people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.

In addition to the musical lineup, which includes acts such as the Fusco Gang and Angelo Belfiore, the festival includes themed evenings and a special ‘Festa della Donna’ scheduled for August 20. The venue has been expanded with additional seating and shaded areas to accommodate visitors.
