NÖROM joins NATO DIANA defense innovation test network
The Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Excellence Joint Application and Research Center (NÖROM) has been accepted into NATO’s Defense Innovation Accelerator (DIANA) test network. Established through a collaboration between Gazi University, Ankara University, and Middle East Technical University, NÖROM is the first and only test center from Turkey to join the DIANA network.
The center will utilize its advanced research infrastructure to support the testing and evaluation of DIANA projects. Key areas of contribution include brain-computer interfaces, cognitive performance assessment, neuromodulation, brain imaging, and AI-supported signal analysis. The DIANA program aims to bring together universities, research centers, and technology companies to support early-stage developments in fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, autonomous systems, quantum technology, and space.
Through this international integration, Turkish researchers will gain opportunities to collaborate on joint projects with global scientists and technology teams. The partnership is expected to facilitate the transformation of research into patents, prototypes, and commercial products.
