NRW-Stiftung celebrates anniversary with free museum access and community awards

In North Rhine-Westphalia, several cultural and community initiatives are being recognized. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the NRW-Stiftung is sponsoring a day of free admission and guided tours at the Junkerhaus in Lemgo on September 19, 2026. The museum, which serves as a residence and artist house, was previously supported by the foundation during its restoration in the early 2000s.

In Schwelm, the city held an awards ceremony during its local festival to honor community engagement. The Wilhelm-Erfurt-Stiftung was awarded the 2026 Heimatpreis, a prize worth 5,000 euros, in recognition of its contributions to the region. The ceremony also honored the local sports association and celebrated the long-standing civic commitment of honorary citizen Wilhelm Erfurt.
