NS Documentation Center in Cologne targeted by foul-smelling liquid
The NS Documentation Center in Cologne has been targeted by unknown individuals who spread a foul-smelling liquid at the museum's entrance during the night. The incident was discovered by staff on Friday morning.
Cologne's Mayor, Torsten Burmester, condemned the act as an attack on the city's democratic self-understanding and remembrance culture. State Security investigators have launched an inquiry into property damage and are currently seeking witnesses.
The museum, located in the former Gestapo headquarters, will remain closed until Monday to allow for extensive cleaning operations.
