Nscale hires former Meta executive Justin Osofsky as COO

Nscale, a London-based AI infrastructure company, has appointed former Meta Platforms executive Justin Osofsky as Chief Operating Officer. The appointment, effective October 2, 2026, comes shortly after the company filed its S-1 registration statement for a planned initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker NSCL.

Osofsky, who spent 18 years at Meta, will report to founder and CEO Josh Payne. His role will focus on managing global operations and supporting the company through its US listing. This move follows the appointment of Lauren Hurwitz as COO in January 2026.

Nscale, founded in May 2024 as a spinout from Arkon Energy, specializes in data centers and GPU cloud services for AI workloads. The company reported revenue of $140.6 million in the first half of 2026, a 1,252% increase year-over-year, despite a net loss of $1.02 billion during the same period. Nscale is reportedly targeting a valuation of approximately $30 billion in its upcoming offering.
