Nísia Floresta and Farias Brito report high education assessment scores
Municipalities in Brazil have reported significant advancements in public education based on recent assessment results.
In Nísia Floresta, Rio Grande do Norte, the Ideb 2025 results show an increase in scores for both early and final years of elementary school. The municipality achieved a 5.5 score in the early years, leading its metropolitan region. Notably, four municipal schools in Nísia Floresta ranked among the top ten highest-scoring schools in the state for early years, including the Escola Municipal Leonor Maria Bezerra, which earned the third-highest score in Rio Grande do Norte.
In Farias Brito, Ceará, the Spaece 2025 evaluation recognized 18 schools with the ‘Escola Nota 10’ title and one as an ‘Escola Premiada’. The municipality achieved the best performance in its regional education coordination area. Among the state-level highlights, the EMTI Cosmo Alves Pereira received both the ‘Escola Premiada’ and ‘Escola Nota 10’ honors for the 5th grade. Eleven other local units were recognized at the municipal level across various educational stages.
