NSIC announces weekly soccer honors

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced its weekly soccer honors. Sophia Haase of Concordia-St. Paul was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. During a 7-0 victory against Sioux Falls, Haase scored a career-high four goals, tying the CSP single-game record and becoming the all-time leading goal scorer in Golden Bears history with 36 career goals. She also broke the program's single-season scoring record with 17 goals.

University of Mary sophomore Ivy Wessel earned the Defensive Player of the Week award following two shutouts in wins against Minnesota Crookston and MSU Moorhead. Wessel recorded an assist in both matches, helping the Marauders maintain a 12-game unbeaten streak.

Edy Halverson of Minnesota Duluth was named Goalkeeper of the Week after recording two shutouts in wins against Northern State and Jamestown, bringing her season shutout total to seven.
