The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has released its preseason coaches' polls for cross country.

The Winona State University men's team was selected to finish sixth in the preseason poll, earning 119 points. Senior Jacob Lanzara has been named the preseason Athlete to Watch for the Warriors. The team, led by new head coach Darin Shepardson, is scheduled to open its season on September 4 at the Augustana Twilight in South Dakota.

In the women's preseason poll, the University of Mary was picked to finish fifth, receiving one first-place vote. Junior transfer Amanda Overgaauw was named the team's Athlete to Watch. The Marauders return four of their five point scorers from the previous season and are set to host three meets this season, with their home opener scheduled for September 11.
