NSIC releases 2026 women's soccer preseason coaches' poll
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has released its 2026 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll. In the rankings, Minnesota State was projected to win the league with 223 points and 13 first-place votes.
Winona State University was voted to finish ninth in the conference. The team named Kyleigh Jannisch and Annika Groendal as players to watch for the upcoming season. Winona State enters the year under head coach Delaney Marier following a 7-6-4 overall record in 2025.
The University of Mary is projected to finish sixth in the 16-team league. The Marauders named Dina Polanco and Chloe Brand as their preseason players to watch. Polanco, a sophomore midfielder and member of the Guatemala national team, previously earned All-NSIC first team honors, while Brand is a senior defender.
