NSIC women's soccer championship on the line in regular season finale

NSIC women's soccer University of Mary Minnesota State University NCAA tournament

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) women's soccer regular season concludes this Thursday with the conference title at stake. Two top teams, the University of Mary Marauders and the Minnesota State University Mavericks, are currently tied for first place.

The University of Mary will host Minot State University at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck, North Dakota. A victory for the Marauders could secure the championship and set the stage for their NSIC Tournament opening round game, which they are scheduled to host on November 2.

Meanwhile, the No. 3 ranked Minnesota State Mavericks will face the St. Cloud State Huskies at Husky Stadium in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The Mavericks hold a 14-1-2 season record and a win on Thursday would guarantee them a spot as either outright or co-champions of the NSIC. The tournament winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.
