NSITF defends ECSA platform ownership and data security

The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has denied allegations regarding its Electronic Compliance and Safety Application (ECSA), asserting that the platform is its own intellectual property. In a statement issued in Abuja, the Fund dismissed reports claiming ECSA was rebranded from technology owned by P2E Technologies Limited, explaining instead that the platform was developed internally after the failure of a previous E-NSITF Project to deliver a functional certification system.

Addressing concerns over data integrity, the NSITF stated that all employer information is stored on its own database infrastructure and that no data has been lost, copied, or exposed. The Fund maintained that its data handling practices comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and assured employers that certification services remain operational while system safeguards are being strengthened.
