NSS Bhopal wins Raja Bhoj Sailing Championship 2026

The third edition of the Raja Bhoj Multi-Class National Sailing Championship 2026 concluded at the Water Sports Academy in Bhopal. National Sailing School (NSS) Bhopal secured the championship title, followed by Navy Youth Sports Club (NYSC) Goa in second place and Secunderabad in third. The competition featured 87 athletes from 12 clubs across the country, participating in a total of 110 races on the Upper Lake.

During the closing ceremony, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav honored the winners and announced plans to expand sports infrastructure. He stated that the government aims to build a stadium in each of the state's 230 assembly constituencies to support talent in rural and small-town areas. The Chief Minister noted that Madhya Pradesh has risen from 16th or 17th place to 3rd place nationally in sports performance over the last three years. Currently, the state operates 11 academies for 18 different sports, with ongoing efforts to integrate sports into the educational framework under the National Education Policy 2020.
