NSTFDC and HPCL to establish smart classrooms in Rajasthan schools
The National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish integrated computer labs and smart classrooms in 29 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) across 11 districts in Rajasthan.
With an approved budget of Rs 16.01 crore, the project aims to benefit more than 10,000 Scheduled Tribe students annually, ensuring equal representation for girls. The initiative is expected to be completed within six months of the signing.
Each school will receive four smart classrooms equipped with 86-inch interactive flat panels, licensed software, and audio-visual equipment. Additionally, each facility will feature a networked computer laboratory containing desktops with UPS backup, printers, air-conditioning, and electrical refurbishment. The project also includes the provision of 10 tablets per school pre-loaded with competitive examination coaching materials.
