Néstor Ortigoza to face trial for alleged gender violence

Former footballer Néstor Ortigoza will face an oral trial following the conclusion of a gender violence investigation in Ezeiza, Argentina. The prosecution has requested the case proceed to trial after investigating allegations of aggression against his former partner, Lucila Cassiau.

Ortigoza is accused of aggravated minor injuries and property damage within the context of gender violence. While the former player denied the charges and claimed that viral videos of the incidents were edited and lacked context, the prosecution determined that the defense's arguments were insufficient to close the case.

The defense also presented testimonies from three former domestic employees who stated they did not witness acts of violence. The judicial process will now move to the trial phase, where a date for the oral debate will be set.
