Năsăud launches urban regeneration and energy efficiency projects
Năsăud is undertaking significant urban regeneration and energy efficiency projects funded by European Union resources through the North-West Regional Program 2021-2027.
One project involves the thermal rehabilitation of a residential building on Iacob Mureșianu Street. Valued at approximately 12.6 million lei, the works will target 86 apartments. The renovation includes upgrading the building envelope, modernizing heating, cooling, and hot water systems, and installing renewable energy sources. Additionally, the project will implement high-efficiency lighting and advanced ventilation systems to improve air quality and energy sustainability.
A second initiative, focused on urban regeneration in the apartment district near Miron Cristea and Bistriței streets, is estimated at 20.25 million lei. This project aims to transform roughly 9,000 square meters of degraded land into functional green spaces. Planned improvements include vertical gardens for parking areas, new trees, walking paths, fountains, and playgrounds. The area will also feature smart urban furniture, PET recycling stations, solar-powered lighting, and an integrated video surveillance system to enhance public safety.
