NSW Ambulance expands infrastructure and celebrates staff

NSW Ambulance recently marked Appreciation Day by hosting community open days at several stations across New South Wales, including Coffs Harbour, Blacktown, and Camden. These events allowed the public to view state-of-the-art vehicles, participate in CPR demonstrations, and tour facilities. During the celebrations, more than 150 Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to staff for outstanding professionalism and dedication.

In a separate development regarding service expansion, construction has commenced on a new ambulance station at Caves Beach in Lake Macquarie. This project is part of the A$615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Programme, which aims to build 30 new stations across the state. The Caves Beach facility, scheduled for completion in late 2027, will feature eight vehicle parking bays, administrative offices, and staff amenities such as a gym to support rising emergency response demands in the region.
