NSW drug cases: charges dropped for one woman, another convicted
Emily Oxley, 25, was released after the New South Wales Director of Public Prosecutions withdrew five drug‑supply charges linked to nearly a kilogram of cocaine and 75 g of MDMA found in a vehicle stop at Waratah West. She had been in custody for seven months while the case was prepared.
In a separate incident, 53‑year‑old Cassandra Finch of Orange was found guilty of possessing heroin, cannabis and a prohibited cattle prod after police executed a search warrant at her home. She was fined $300 for the heroin and $300 for the weapon, with no additional penalty for the cannabis charge.
