NSW local government officials receive professional awards

Several officials from New South Wales local government have been recognized at recent award ceremonies.

At the Environmental Health Australia NSW Excellence Awards in Canberra, Shoalhaven City Council staff Glendon Lee and Kate Balding received top honors. Lee was named NSW Environmental Health Professional of the Year, while Balding was awarded NSW Environmental Health Early Career Professional of the Year for her work in soil and water management.

Additionally, the 2026 NSW Ministers’ Awards for Women in Local Government honored Singleton Council Mayor Sue Moore and Gunnedah Shire Mayor Colleen Fuller OAM. Moore received the Councillor Lilliane Brady OAM Award, the highest honor in the ceremony, while Fuller was presented with the Excellence in Councillor Leadership Award.
