New South Wales Police have conducted multiple raids across Western Sydney and near Lithgow, seizing numerous firearms and ammunition as part of an investigation into an alleged illegal hunting ring. The investigation was triggered by reports from Mullion Creek, north of Orange, where two ewes died and three lambs were stolen.

During the operations, police executed search warrants in several locations, including Quakers Hill, Merrylands, Wiley Park, and Schofields. Several individuals have been arrested, including a 32-year-old in Quakers Hill and a 36-year-old in Wiley Park. Authorities reported seizing a total of 23 firearms across the Sydney raids, in addition to 26 firearms previously seized during the initial Mullion Creek investigation.
