NSW Police shoot man dead following car accident near Yass

Danny Di Biccari, 45, was fatally shot by New South Wales police following a vehicle accident near Yass on October 4.

Emergency services responded to reports of a car that had driven into a tree on Corringle Lane in Rugby, approximately 84 kilometres north of Yass. Officers from the Hume Police District located the vehicle with the driver appearing unconscious. According to a police spokesperson, as officers attempted to render aid, the man allegedly aimed a rifle at them, prompting officers to shoot. Despite immediate CPR, Mr. Di Biccari died at the scene.

Mr. Di Biccari’s fiancée, Ebani Gardner, described him as a “very good dad” and “my rock.” He leaves behind a fiancée and four children.
