NSW Police welcome record number of new probationary constables

A record-breaking cohort of more than 353 probationary constables graduated from the NSW Police Academy on August 21, marking the largest graduating group in over a decade.

In the Blue Mountains, new recruits Jack Sheehan-Woodlands and Chantelle Fletcher have begun their roles at Springwood Police Station. They will undergo a year of on-the-job training and distance education to earn an Associate Degree in Policing Practice. Blue Mountains MP Trish Doyle welcomed the recruits, noting their role in community safety.

In Griffith, three new probationary constables—Aiden Wilson, Talia Vink, and Jack Huskinson—have joined the Murrumbidgee Police. The recruits come from diverse professional backgrounds, including outdoor education, personal training, and plastering. They are beginning their career transformations as they integrate into the local community.
