NSZZ Policjantów engages in social initiatives and legal advocacy

Members of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union of Police (NSZZ Policjantów) in Szczecin recently visited the ‘Wesoła Chatka’ facility, managed by the West Pomeranian District Branch of the Polish Red Cross. The visit, organized by police blood donors and union members, included the distribution of gifts and social engagement with the children at the center.

Separately, the union is intensifying efforts to protect the legal rights and reputations of officers. Representative Waldemar Żurek has called upon the National Prosecutor to increase involvement in cases involving the defamation and insult of police officers, particularly regarding unauthorized use of their image in digital spaces. The union emphasizes that proactive legal support is essential for officers to perform their duties without fear of personal or professional character attacks.
