NTLite releases update to remove Copilot from Windows 11

NTLite has released version 2026.08.11723, a Windows customization tool that now includes options to remove AI-driven features from Windows 11 installation images. Specifically, users can strip Copilot and Windows Recall from Windows 11 25H2 and later versions during the image preparation process.

By removing these AI components, users can achieve a smaller overall installation size. The tool operates on ISO installation images to prepare them for new installations, though it also offers a 'Live edit mode' that allows for certain modifications to an existing, already installed operating system without requiring a full reinstallation.

In addition to component removal, the update introduces faster, multi-threaded extraction to reduce the time required for processing and reconstructing Windows images. The software supports various image formats, including WIM, ESD, and SWM, and allows for the integration of updates, drivers, and languages.
